Who are we?

Have you ever come across the term “service science”? Trust us it’s not just another example of academic jargon! It’s a concept that describes a revolutionary way of improving services by employing multiple perspectives, ranging from business and law to technology and social sciences, thus fostering multidisciplinary collaboration with the aim of driving service innovation and growth. If you still think that only sounds nice when written down, allow us to challenge your perceptions! For close to a year now we’ve been running two-month projects alongside forward-looking service organizations through which we have delivered innovative service solutions ranging from mapping new processes to actually designing prototypes. Just to name a few of our diverse and inspiring partners, we’ve worked alongside APG, the La Bergère Group as well as Youp van ‘t Hek. What are we doing?

We constantly roll out new projects. Our partners are service organizations from very different business areas and they came to us with some exciting service challenges. Thus we will be forming project teams, each made out of dedicated researchers and enthusiastic students, to tackle each new challenge. Have a look at the description of each upcoming project and see if anything immediately grabs your attention! If you feel more-and-more curious and already start having a flux of questions and ideas then you should seriously consider joining one of our project teams!

What do we want from you?

We ask of you to adopt a service science mindset, to show real interest and dedication, to be serious about your engagement, to cope well with team-work as well as possible work-under-pressure situations. At the same time we ask of you to let your creativity roam free, to turn problems upside down and look at them from totally new angles, to learn from your work and to share your knowledge with others and last but not least to have a lot of fun in the process.

What do we offer you in return?

We offer you the chance to work in a dynamic team in direct contact with a service organization and learn alongside your project members. Please contact your Faculty or School to discuss opportunities for internships and/or thesis credits
